Dirty SweetPlease state your name and where you represent?
My name is Dee aka Dirty Sweet, I’m from Leicester and i represent myself.

Tell us about the N.G.U. movement?
I’ve been apart of NGU for about a year and a half now and since then we've been busy building up a network of very talented artists from all over the world with 1 goal in mind...making good music. its working out really well so ive opened a sister label called "Karma Records" which only deals with the local uk artists so we've got a million things in the pipeline.

You have collaboration album ready for release with Dap-C, How did that come about?
Well its was pretty random how i met Dap. I did a remix of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" for his mixtape but this was before we ever met. It was about 6am and i'd just got back from a club and i was at a mates house spacing out on his sofa and Dap walks in and introduced himself. We ended up going back to his studio so he could show me some of the projects he was working on. I noticed we had very different styles and after a few beers we thought it would be interesting if we worked on something together. a few months later and Street Karma was made and Dap made a bag full of videos from past projects and we shot the video for "Music Game" feat Blak Twang and Geejay so we thought we'd make it into an epic CD/DVD.

Tell us about your new album Street Karma?
Street Karma is a Dirty Sweet & Dap-C collab album. The whole album was produced by me and also features some of our favourite artists from all over the UK. It was a really interesting project to work on because we got to work with so many new artists thanks to the wonders of the internet and with a little help from daps studio. having our own studio helped alot in the creative process.

Album includes tracks featuring Blak Twng, Skinnyman, Fallacy, Lewis Parker, Stylah, Mr. Drastick, Big Cakes, Sir Smurf Lil, Original Jenetics, Kid Rad, Dom-P and loads more!

Where can people find your product?
You can pick up a copy of the Street Karma cd/dvd online and all good record stores, but HMV is the cheapest - there taking pre-orders for only £6.99 including p&p

Who else have you worked with?
The past year has been really hectic, I’ve been working non stop with alot of new people and the crazy thing is alot of them are my own city. I didnt even know many artists in my city that were doing what I’m doing and now we got a massive circle of us getting creative.

I’ve been working with a rapper from Leicester called Original Jenetics. this guy dont stop writing man, hes got loads to say so watch out for him. I’ve also been working with other local people including Simple, Gob, Hightower, Luke Bingham, Dominique Brody, Abrasive, Swift 89..the list goes on and on..

I also produced a record on Geejay’s album ‘I Came To Represent’ that features Canibus & Dap-C called ‘How Many Mc’s’

What else do you have in the pipeline?
ive got a mixtape out with original jenetics in a few months to give u a taster and then the album with him after that which will be out on karma records. we aint afraid of getting abit experimental so make sure u look at for the cds cos im sure ull find something interesting on them. im also working on a karma records compilation called "cause and effect" which features a bunch of local talent. ull also find me on various NGU records albums and im hoping to get a new project on the go with dap c aswell.
What can people expect at one of your live shows?
I've not done many live shows recently but we've got some shows lined up. I’ll be busy all over the place during the summer to promote street karma and the projects im working on with Original Jenetics. we're taking our shows to Amsterdam and Belgium soon aswell cos they're loving what we do and been asked to go and do our thing. you can expect a whole gang of ngu/karma artists put on an amazing show including graffiti artists, turntablists aswell as rapper and singers...we wanna make it a show rather then just some decks and a mic.

What is your biggest achievements to date?
working with like minded people and being happy with the music we're making and getting positive feedback.

Do you listen to any UK Hip Hop?
Yes, i love UK hip hop. when i first started listening to hip hop it was all American stuff which i loved but then i heard what the UK was up to and it changed my whole perspective on things. love what the UK are doing and you’ll hear that in my music. Alot of people say I’ve got a very UK sounds which i take as a compliment.

Anything else youíd like to add?
you can find my music at www.myspace.com/dirtysweetbeatz and the new video feat Blak Twang is at www.myspace.com/dapc
