What has the response been like to your music in your hometown?
They love it here its crazy, ive got a massive following here and i appreciate it soo much i mean they dont have to embrace me but they do because im diffrent to what is getting heard and has been heard. And thats what they like , they love the fact im real and humble but i have wu-tang cuts and canibus tracks lol they love it its a breath of fresh air for sunderland.
Being independent can be a grind! How are you finding it?
Very suitable for a decent following but if you want what i want realy the market needs to open up more no doubt people realy need to start buyin uk hip hop and not just roll deep an klashnekoff im talking up n commers start supporting the uk by supporting the artists then we can move musicly and advance. I loved estells move that was sick tho props!
What are your thoughts on digital distribution?
Love it its working well for us and other genres, alot of the business is digital now its future for music, we just have to do our best to move with it.
Do you have an agent for bookings/tours?
No do it all independantly then i dont have to splash out for someone doing what i could do or fam could do.
Have you had much DJ support? Radio play? Mixtape features?
Ive been on sun-fm up here in the north, pirate radio hhb radio ive been on about 40 diffrent mixtapes in torronto, canada, south america, everywhere man cant even remember half of em i love mixtapes for that it can take you places you never thought possible.
What subject matters do you cover in your lyrics?
Everything from personal tracks dedictated to friends who have passed to hard thumping commercial vibes to just straight up raw telling it how it is in hip hop and the world. Thats what i do i work off concepts and meanings i dont like breeze ya know it bores me which is why i try to be inovative and stay elevating my philosaphies, to a level which no emcee is on.
Tell us a bit about your style.
North-east, commercial, hard, raw, nasty, dirty, gritty, sweet, loving, capturing everything you need as an emcee basicly. My style is the best in hip hop right now period cop the album and see man you wont hear anything as nice in hip hop.
Outside of music how do relax?
Chill with my girl man i love that shit and catching up with my boys basicly living life as a person relaxes me i like to listen to diffrent music my life is music so its always involved. I love just lying on my bed putting a nice cd on with a cuppa and a spliff. Its good man
