When did you release your first song?
“My first solo release was independent called ‘Stillborn Lives’ in 2003, but the first record I was on commercially was in 1995 on Capitol Records with an artist named Miilkbone.”

What’s been your biggest track so far to date?
“I would say ‘Natural High’. The video has a lot of exposure at the moment.”

Who producers your music?
“K Dubb, ID 4, Kane U$A, Ricochae…a lot of heads. I have my hands on in the overall production of my music, though.”

What record label are you on?
“I’m currently with Shaman Work Recordings.”

Have you released any music videos?
“Yes, they can all be viewed at youtube.com/kbanger.”

What has the response been like to your music in your hometown?
“The hometown love is always there. I’m known for doing things like this on a regular basis.”

Being independent can be a grind! How are you finding it?
“A lot easier than dealing with major labels.”

What are your thoughts on digital distribution?
“If that’s how product is being bought and sold, then it’s all good.”

Do you have an agent for bookings/tours?
“Not currently, but then again, we’ve done fine without one. We’re open, though!”

Have you had much DJ support? Radio play? Mixtape features?
“Certainly. Big up all the Djs showing love and support.”

What subject matters do you cover in your lyrics?
“Whatever suits the music, I’ll address.”

Tell us a bit about your style.
“My style is simply that. My own style.”

Outside of music how do relax?
“Martial Arts training helps me to meditate. I’m a home body, I like chillin’ with fam, the home-cooking and all that. Other than that, I find working on music very relaxing.”

What can people expect from you in the near future?
“Expect the unexpected, and it will be obvious once you see it go down.”
