For those who may not know you how long have you been in the game?
I’ve been in the game over 15 years.
You were originally in the group Street Military, how many albums did you release as a group?
We released 6 albums as a group.
You’re also a member of South Park Coalition, Houston’s infamous rap organisation, for those that don’t know tell us about this organisation.
My organisation has always been Street Military, but we are cool with The South Park Coalition. I am a member by association, but my group is Street Military. That’s a different group form The South Park Coalition.
Spitting Venom is the name of your new album, who did you work with on this project?
I worked with Li Flea, Icy Hott, Z-Ro, K Rino, Trae, Billy Cook, Moufs of da Souf, Papa Reu and Unforgiven. The producers that worked with me on the album are Mike B, Dam Fool Productions, The Craft, Ground Up Entertaiment and Big Doc.
What other projects have you released as a solo artist?
I released 3 other solo projects, Ova-Tone featuring Kidnappa, The Underground and Underground Legacy.
What’s the vibe like in Houston at the moment?
The vibe is real tight in Houston right now we got a lot of talent out here. This is a city of great music and up and coming artist like myself.
For those who have never heard your music how best would you describe your style?
My music is mostly about real life situations. Topics that i talk about are more than just material things and wealth. I make the kind of music that people in the streets can relate to. The type of music that stands the test of time and my delivery is ferocious. I put my heart and soul into my music my style is heartcore.
Tell us about your label Spitting Venom Records?
Spitting Venom Recordz with the Z at the end is the label I started to release my own records. I am the CEO at Spitting Venom so that means that I’m in control of my destiny and I like it like that. I’m the boss. All I need is distribution. No more artist deals for me unless its in the millions. It’s a place for other artists too that want to be down with Kidnappa. Spittin Venom is the first release from the lable.
You got mad fans all over the world name one of the most interesting places you have played?
One of the most interesting places I’ve played would definitely have to be Australia. The Australians showed me mad love when I came and rocked the club with some of the most venomous performances known to man.
What’s your myspace website address for people to check out your music and videos?
You talk about a lot of real life situations in your music, like the classic joint “I can never say daddy”
Yeah I wrote that because growing up I never knew who my father was. I always heard stories about him, but I never knew him. But when I turned 27, years after the song I met him for the first time. We like homies. I never made him feel bad about the time we missed. I was just glad the lord allowed me to meet him before my death or before his death.
Out of all the songs that you’ve done so far, which one means the most to you?
Ghetto Raised from the Spitting Venom album because the song has so much truth in it. I’m still in the struggle of good and evil but I try my best to make my good out weigh my bad. My life is God, family and music.
How is Pharaoh doing?
Pharoah is doing fine. He a soldier. One of the realest that ever entered the game. I want everybody to pray for him because we gonna try and get another lawyer to handle his situation.
Besides your new album what other projects are you working on at the moment?
Right now I’m working on some mixtapes and I’m almost finished with The Army of One album. I want the world to be on the look out for a new Street Military album too.
Any last words or shout outs?
I just wanna thank God and thank everybody that support me and Legacy of Street
Millitary.
